Brief: Produce a book cover for a fantasy novel

This was my first ever book cover commission!

The client, Swiss author Luc Peier, sent a details brief of what was required, and provided plenty of reference images and even a detailed mock-up. I stuck to the brief as close possible to keep accuracy to the novel’s extensive map and setting.

Brondo Music

Brief: Produce an album cover titled ‘Gorilla Pimpin’’

This was my second commissioned work for the dubstep community, Brondo reached out over Instagram after seeing a concept album cover piece I made and posted to the Disciple Records Facebook group. I worked with him and his manager Chance, founder of Segeth Entertainment Group to create this piece

There was very little direction given for this work, just as long as it fit the title of the EP, which was great. So after finding a suitable image for the gorilla, I went about ‘pimping’ this guy up. Complete with a crown, rings, and a cigar which subtly includes an impression of the artists logo. I went for a roadside motel vibe complete with vivid neon lights in a night time setting

They were happy with the piece and hopefully will someday see this released on their label

Spirit Horizon Overture

Brief: Produce a Sci-fi cover art of a couple overlooking a rocket launch on a distance planet

This was my latest commission working with Brandon, communication was excellent and the client knew exactly what they wanted to final product to look like. This meant a lot of revisions but all for the benefit of the final product, as it pushed me to have more attention to finer details, especially from a customers perspective

Brief: Produce an vinyl cover, featuring ‘a wolf, mountains, moon, heaven & hell’

This was my first ever commissioned work and was a great learning curve for taking on board several design requests and implementing revisions based on customer feedback

I was then commissioned for further work from the artist to create the inside covers to the vinyl, a full heaven version and a full hell version.

Monika - Arwen’s Journey

Brief: ‘Turn my girlfriend into her favourite Lord of the Rings character’

This piece was commissioned for a friend in need of a birthday gift, and to turn her into one of her favourite character’s. I took several elements from different cloaked stock images and a forest baseplate to create the final result. Lighting was particularly hard to match as the original image was a more sun kissed and warm tone.
